I'm not sure if you're using Pinterest or building links.

But I thought I'd share with you a couple of tips that I'm about to share on Youtube.

As always, I like to share with you first.

I'm going to keep this as short and to the point as possible

​

​

Tip No1 - Pinterest

Go to Your Pinterest account and click Analytics - Trends

Then filter on the left-hand side and select the Trend Types. ie: Seasonal will show you what was working last year vs this year.

This is great, as you might have seen a big boost on a garden website last year for Sunflowers, so you might start making more pins on that topic.

When, this year sunflowers are NOT trending. It might be Lillies trending.

So, you don't waste your time with sunflowers.

​

I use the growing trends section mainly

​

To see what's working right now.

​

You can also just type in the topic in Pinterest Trends search bar at the top.

​

This will give you the demographics of that trending topic.

​

So, it might be "Cool Sunglasses" that's trending.

​

So, you could target a paid ad for people under 30 only.

​

Saving you money on your ad spend if you run paid ads.

​

If you don't you can make the pins more attractive to Younger People with images and text aimed at their age group.

Tip No2

You can look at the calendar feature in Canva where I schedule my pins for pinning.

There are many days throughout the year that have special days.

National Scotch Day - July 27th

National Mustard Day - 5th Aug

​

You can then plan ahead and make pins for those days when you know Pinterest will push them in search.

On those days you see a huge jump in interest on those pins.

These are also the best days to see viral pins go crazy.

​

Final Tip of the Day

If you have been building links to your website and especially guest posts or Haro links.

Then you are then entitled to add a section on your website home page and mention " As see on " or " Featured in "

​

Adding this feature help build authority with Google and also help you gain more links from bigger sites.

The first place a Haro reporter will look is your home page and Linkedin

​

Make sure your Linkedin profile and posts are super relevant.

​

If I'm pitching for a Travel website and they go to my Linkedin profile and it's all about Gardening. They won't see me as an authority in Travel.

​

I have added this " Feature in "section on all my website

​
